MooodyCow Supports DXC Technology to Win Cyber Security Operations Work with Jaguar Land Rover

Following a publicly known cyber security incident, Jaguar Land Rover tasked DXC Technology with rapidly identifying a team of ten cyber and privacy specialists. DXC did not have sufficient bench capacity. MooodyCow stepped in, delivered seven screened candidates within 24 hours, and helped DXC secure a new Cyber Security Operations Team at JLR.

Key Success Factors

  • Seven qualified candidates submitted within 24 hours of engagement
  • 94% internal acceptance rate at DXC u2014 16 of 17 candidates approved
  • Clear, responsive communication across sales, security and leadership stakeholders
  • Flexibility to pivot sourcing mid-RFP without missing the deadline

Background

Jaguar Land Rover approached DXC Technology to provide resource augmentation for ten specialist positions spanning five roles: Senior Security Architect, Senior Security Engineer, Technical Privacy Architect, Legal and Regulatory Privacy Advisor, and Security Risk Manager. Two resources were required per role, with a strong preference for UK-based candidates given the sensitivity of the work.

Engagement began on 15 October. The work was quickly folded into a closed RFP process running to a 14 November deadline, open only to existing JLR partners including DXC, the incumbent TCS, and Accenture. A Best and Final Offer was submitted by 20 November.

The Challenge

DXC faced several constraints it could not address alone within the timelines set by JLR:

  • No suitable bench capacity in the UK across the highly specialised security and privacy roles
  • Compressed timeframes from initial engagement through to closed RFP response
  • Requirement to demonstrate immediate access to credible talent to keep the opportunity alive
  • Competitive pressure from the incumbent TCS and Accenture
  • Mid-RFP change of scope: JLR removed the privacy and legal roles and introduced three Cyber Incident Response Engineers and one Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist, with no deadline extension

The Solution

Rapid candidate mobilisation. MooodyCow deployed its Flexible Workforce model so DXC could present a cyber security solution under its own delivery leadership. Within 24 hours, seven fully screened candidates were submitted, covering multiple roles and maintaining DXC's momentum in discussions. Across the full pipeline, MooodyCow achieved a 94% acceptance rate from DXC, with 16 of 17 candidates approved for client presentation.

End-to-end sourcing and screening. MooodyCow owned sourcing, screening and preparation for every candidate, matching skills to the revised cyber operations scope when the RFP changed mid-process.

Integrated collaboration with DXC. The MooodyCow Senior Account Manager, Director and Talent Team worked directly with DXC's Security Sellers and UK and Ireland Sales Lead, ensuring frequent communication and rapid adjustment of commercials and candidate preparation throughout.

Speed under changing requirements. When four roles were swapped mid-RFP, MooodyCow restarted the search inside the unchanged deadline, sharpening the commercial position and coaching candidates to stay competitive against TCS and Accenture.

Outcome: DXC secured four of the ten roles, forming a Cyber Security Operations Team of three Cyber Incident Response Engineers and one Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist. The initial nine-month engagement creates recurring revenue for DXC and an expanded footprint within JLR's cyber security operations. Internally, DXC stakeholders recognised that without MooodyCow's rapid mobilisation the opportunity would likely have lapsed at the outset.
